Where would you go tonight if you suddenly found yourself homeless?

Start with joining I.E. Weldon’s We Team (a student activism club) Friday night, January 10th at Victoria Park in Lindsay as they brave the night in the cold so that you won’t have to.

I.E. Weldon’s We Team, in partnership with A Place Called Home will be hosting an event called “1 Night Out” to raise both awareness and financial assistance to aid our local homeless.

The We Team, A Place Called Home, and officers with the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service will commence creating a “tent city” on Friday afternoon whereby participants will be accompanied by local musicians, story tellers and other entertainment throughout the night.  Join us for a hockey game on the rink, or just warm up by the fire.

With your participation, we can have a thriving overnight community and succeed in raising funds and awareness of our homeless.
