The City of Kawartha Lakes, Parks, Recreation and Culture, in partnership with the Kawartha Cycling Club, is pleased to offer two new adult cycling courses this summer.
Cycling Canada has developed a series of courses to improve Canada’s proficiency in road cycling. CAN-BIKE 1 is a 2-day course to help cyclists develop skills and build confidence in low traffic neighborhoods and is scheduled June 14-15. CAN-BIKE 2 is an advanced adult course focusing on defensive cycling for commuter and recreational cyclists who ride in traffic and is scheduled for Aug. 15-17. Both courses will take place at the Lindsay Recreation Complex. Courses are suitable for riders 15 years and older and fees are $60 for CAN-BIKE 1 and $90 for CAN-BIKE 2.
