Reporting an Incident to Police Has Never Been Easier
The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is making it even easier to report incidents.
A “Citizen’s Online Police Reporting System” (CopLogic) will enable individuals to report specific non-emergency crimes without having to leave the comfort of their living room.
Lost property, theft from vehicles, property damage and other non-emergency calls can all be reported to the police without having to have an officer attend your home.
Crimes without injury, a suspect, or any physical evidence, are ideal for online reporting, however an officer will continue to attend scenes if requested.
The on-line self-reporting will be beneficial to both our community and our officers. It will provide a convenient alternative to the public, while allowing frontline officers to focus their efforts on other enforcement and crime prevention strategies. It will allow us to reallocate our resources to proactively focus on community trends and decrease response time for priority calls.
The on-line reporting system is a user friendly interface that even the most novice computer user can handle. It is a convenient way to report minor incidents, crime tips, submit forms, etc. through an online service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
